The Garden Room was formerly an ancient courtyard with small rooms off it which had formed part of the Monastery – now The Stamford Room. Here, in this green oasis, a more informal and relaxed style of dining is offered. The Garden Room opens at 12 o’clock and has a full menu throughout the day until at least 10.30 pm which is very unusual these days, extremely well received by visitors.
The large and popular menu covers every palate! From Gruyére cheese fritters and salads, through to hamburgers and calves' liver, fish and shellfish, and delicious lobster spaghetti. There is an excellent selection of appetisers and also indulgent desserts and cheeses. We can safely say ‘something for everyone’.
